Laguna Beach

kind of crazy how the beach can make everything better.
the smell of the ocean, the sand, the water crashing, diving under waves.
pure happiness
i don't think i could ever be able to live anywhere not near the beach.

laguna beach has my absolute favorite beaches.
i spent most of my senior year of high school at those beaches.
the water is so clean and clear and beautiful
like the middle of the caribbean but closer :)

ps. i swear shane smiles. it's just really hard to catch his adorable laughing on camera. he really is such a sweet happy baby. and that one that smiles for the camera(ryan) and looks like the easy-going happy one. yeah. mhmm. i'll show you pictures and videos of his seriously stubborn temper tantrums. spitting, hitting, screaming and all. such little joys. miss them already :)

Ah, Laguna Beach looks gorgeous!! And your brothers are seriously adorable (even if they have temper tantrums from time to time...). My hubby and I are planning a trip to Southern California and are trying to figure out the best beaches around there! Looks like Laguna is definitely one of them! Any others you suggest? :)

I was just saying to my boyfriend that I can't wait to be in Cancun on friday because of the "beach happy". It is truly a unique happiness where everything just feels right. I would love to live by one!

I have to compliment you on your pictures too. Always so beautiful and you just keep getting better :)

Anna,
I grew up in Orange County, lived in LA, and live in San Diego. There are so many beautiful beaches in SoCal.

OC
1) Laguna Beach
2) Crystal Cove (so so nice)
3) Balboa Island
4) Huntington Beach (just a fun beach)

San Diego
1) Coronado Beach
2) La Jolla Shores
3) Wind and Sea

Los Angeles
1) Venice (for it's quirkiness)
2) Malibu for the fancy houses and beautiful beaches
3) Santa Monica for it's fun vibe

Have a fun trip :)

haha...it's always the bad kids that look so innocent! because they can have one of those temper tantrums and then smile at you and you just kinda melt. easy for me to say though since i'm not a mom yet!

Lovely pictures! I'm always so terrified of bringing my DSLR to the beach. Do you pack it in anything to protect it?

It's really cool! It made me miss the coast - it's the first summer i'm staying in the city - so weird.. But your pictures are just adorable!

Ana @My (Newly)Wed Life said...

Beautiful pictures! Wish I could go to the beach, but summers in San Francisco seem to be lasting for about a week per year! :(

@Kristin i know it's terrible but i don't have a camera bag. I had a mesh protector but lost it. i just keep it usually wrapped in a scarf in my bag and am just really careful with it. At the beach I make sure to put it right back in my bag when i'm not taking pictures and zip up the bag so sand doesn't get in it.

I just always feel that if i'm too scared to take my camera anywhere with me then there's really no point in me having a nice expensive camera if i don't use it.
