Off the Grid : Fort Mason

roaming mobile food extravaganza
different markets around the city on different days
so nice to have all the food trucks in one place and not have to track them down around the city
we went to the one at fort mason which is every friday from 5-10pm
such a good, fun, and cheap dinner
not to mention there's no arguing over where we go eat cause everyone can get what they want!

I've never had the privilege of eating from a food truck, but they look awesome! It's funny... I always find myself reading your blog and wishing I had discovered it last Summer before we took our honeymoon trip to California and spent some time in San Francisco. I think I would have found a TON of awesome places to eat and things to do if I had your blog full of awesome advice!!

PS - THANKS for all the advice on Southern California beaches! I am definitely going to start researching those. My hubby has a new love for surfing, so I'm sure a couple of those would spark his interest! ;)

Those creme brulees look amazing! And I love your outfit, I have that same skirt (F21?) or one very similar but I've been so confused about how to wear it. So copying you.

That's awesome! Philadelphia just had it's first "Vendy Awards" honoring our fabulous mobile food establishments. They go so unrecognized and have some of the best food in the city! xo

Yes! I love Off the Grid especially on Fridays. I must say my first creme brulee ever was from that 'cart'; i love the "Si Por Favor", so good. I've tried to try a different thing each time I've been but it just gets too hard with the lines and sold outy ness.

Oh I love food carts! I think living in SE Asia they have the original food carts, food shops at every street corner, and sooo delish!

Food carts...yum. I am finally trying the kogi tacos tomorrow. Can't believe they actually have a truck in the OC now. Love the idea of having them all in one place.

its definitely a lot of fun.. but i have to say I think most of the food trucks were overrated.. I didnt think chairman bao or the korean tacos were esp good.. although I did like the creme brule! regardless its a good time and a lot of choices!

1. I've only had Korean bbq once, but loved it!
2. I just tried creme brulee for the first time and also loved it. The idea of a creme brulee cart is amazing.
3. I spy a cute stripey skirt!
