Barcelona Beaches/ Heading to Seville!

Thank you thank you for the wonderful and supportive messages about my homesickness.
It's nice to know i'm not the only one who gets homesick even while being in an amazing place.

I am feeling so much brighter.
It's like my mind came out of the clouds and i can feel fully happy.
Maybe it's due to the amazing spring weather we're having in Barcelona!
The barcelona beaches are already amazing when it's cold,
I can't wait to see them as it's getting warmer!

I'm off to Seville tomorrow to meet up with Liz and Corey!
We'd gladly appreciate recommendations to do, eat and see!

Excited to hear about the Spring weather! One month from today and I'll be leaving for our trip. We just finalized our hotels last night and have our itinerary coming together- Girona/Figures/Cadaques, Peniscola, and Barcelona. Can't wait!

Oh I love Sevilla! I spent a semester there in college. When we were there for our honeymoon, it had changed a lot with a new trolley system and pedestrian areas. I love wandering around and looking at all the colorful tiles on the buildings. The Barrio de Santa Cruz can be fun with it's narrow winding streets. There's also the cathedral, Giralda, Alcazar, bull ring, and University (which is the old tobacco factory that was the setting for Carmen).

Enjoy!

Seville was my favorite place I visited in Europe! It's such a wonderful city! You definitely need to visit Plaza de Espana, the Cathedral (which Christopher Columbus is buried in) and the Alcazar which is right across from the cathedral.

I'm so excited you're going there and can't wait to see pictures! You and Liz are going to have an awesome time!

How fun that you get to see Liz! Sevilla sounds like a dream. Have so much fun and can't wait to read about it!

(And to answer your question -- Matt's job involves travel over the summer, but after NYC and Seattle we'll be back in LA. Excited for our adventures!)

Hey I've been following your blog for a little bit but this is my first comment! I studied abroad in Sevilla last spring and loved it. Definitely check out Plaza de Espana and the catedral. My favorite place to relax was Carmela's in Barrio Santa Cruz (love their tinto de verano). Definitely walk around and get lost in Barrio Santa Cruz. If you miss American food, check out Flaherty's next to the Catedral. Take a carriage ride, too! Oh, and most importantly, come back during Feria ;)

oh and how could I forget- you MUST see a bullfight (although they may start after Easter I believe?). They are not for the faint of heart but it is definitely interesting to experience this form of Spanish entertainment. And go to a flamenco bar, too! And Calle Betis is where all of the American/Foreigner bars are.

An international blate!? Sounds like so much fun!

I was only in Seville for about 1/2 a day, but remember finding the most beautiful cathedral I've ever laid eyes on. I can't wait to go back for another longer visit someday!

For now I'll just have to live through your photos :)

I wish i could be there to show you around, you're right, the weather right now is perfect! I think Seville is even warmer! Spend a lot of time by the river, tour the cathedral (it might be free on Sunday), and enjoy yourself. The night life in Plaza Alfalfa is fun, and Calle Betis by the river too.
