Guest Post: Academy of Science Nightlife

Hello from San Francisco! I'm Taylor from the blog Daily Dose of Sunlight here to bring you, and the darling Nicole, a glimpse of a notorious event that happens every Thursday night here in SF. It's called Nightlife and takes place at the California Academy of Sciences, located in the majestic Golden Gate Park.

During the day, the Academy of Sciences is filled with intrigued tourists, fascinated children and numerous guided tours. Nightlife is much, much different. Each Thursday is a different theme, the night I went was Robot themed, and you must be 21 years of age to even step foot in the doors. Need I say more?! There is always a live dj {or two!}, fun activities and bars everywhere you look. Eac time I've gone I have had way too much fun and am always disappointed when the voice from above says the that the night is over, "time to go home". Nightlife is a great event to go to with a large group of friends and I would highly suggest going to Social Kitchen for dinner before {and possibly for drinks after!} and taking this form of public transportation to get there.

you can't miss the t-rex at the entrance
neon lights over the shark tank and brightly colored fish
Such a fun night! Here is a great song to groove around your room too by the dj of the night, Polish Ambassador Remember Me, Future Girl- Polish Ambassador
Nicole has also been to Nighlife and had a blast!

How have I never done this before?? Even weirder, I've never been to Social Kitchen! Both of these things are now on my agenda, thanks to you! xoxo

I have been during the day, but now I really want to try it at night. Maybe after that new earthquake exhibit opens. There is so much to do and see there. Fun!
