For the first few weeks in Barcelona, I think I came to La Boqueria at least four times a week.
Sometimes just to walk around and discover new stands with interesting foods that I hadn't noticed before, sometimes to grab a baguette, fruit and cheese for a picnic and sometimes just to try another juice.
(so far my favorites are strawberry-banana, plain orange and mango)
It's so fun to just walk around and get lost in the twists and turns of the market.
Although I really dislike seeing the shrimp and other seafood that are still moving.
You'll want to buy every single piece of candy... but watch out it's EXPENSIVE!

Wow! What a BEAUTIFUL market! Good for you with the fruit! I would have been over in that candy section! LOL! Wish we had markets like that in the states. Enjoy!
All of this looks amazing! If I ever make it to Spain...this is my first stop. Great pictures as usual!
The food looks amazing....i love all the colours!
The food looks amazing....i love all the colours!
This place looks like a magical dream!
The first time I went into La Boqueria I thought I was going to pass out. Too much deliciousness per square foot. I remember I took a picture at a candy stand and the old lady running it got mad at me :-)
Also, I've been meaning to tell you, as it get warmer in Spain, like beach weather, please, please, please go to San Sebastian! It's one of my favorite travel destinations and I'd love for you to see it for yourself. Best food I've ever had, pintxos central.
I miss the market! I stayed 2 minutes away from it. I bought ham, bread, cheese and all the fresh veggies from there.
Transport me back to Barcelona!! I miss it so much!!!
holy crap, i want that CANDY!
Like Christine, I also stayed nearby. The fruit was incredible!
I loved La Boqueria, but yes be careful because it can get pricey. I was told that the stands in the back and the ones more hidden inside are cheaper than the ones in the front, which makes sense.
Oh my goodness. The juice looks amazing so bright and colorful! Everytime I read one of your new posts it makes me want to travel so bad!
JEALOUS much? Why, yes... yes I am! La Boqueria is on my life list! Every time I see it on TV I get misty eyed. Great pics!!

I will forever love La Boqueria. Your blog makes me miss Barca so much! I can't wait to go sometime soon, just need to find the time to make the trip! I have been craving some patatas bravas and sangria...oh and empenadas. YUM!
I am genuinely so excited to see each and every new post you share about Spain - makes me want to drop everything and fly there to tomorrow to enjoy the culture as you are.
We went there when we were in Barcelona! Such a cool spot!
El Quim has been on the travel channel! Im bummed I never got to eat there! Try the organic food stand at the very back of the market, all the way to the right!
I can't imagine how you have enough self control to not just eat cheese and bread everyday for every meal. Your pictures are gorgeous!
Great pictures. I love this market.
