Alex's mom, Mia, flew from Denver for less than 24 hours to surprise Alex and be there for her daughter's 25th birthday.
When she showed up at our Off the Grid celebration, (literally straight from the airport, bart and then a bus) there were screams, shock, surprised silence, laughter, tears and overjoyed happiness.
Alex was so surprised, happy and the looks on her face were priceless.
I'm a superb secret keeper but this one had me jumpy and giddy inside knowing how happy Alex was going to be having her Mamma Mia there for her special birthday.
Gifts, presents and things are all nice,
but the effort and love from family and friends
and being surrounded by loved ones is really what matters.
You are an incredible friend and person.
You brighten a room just by walking into it.
Your love, joy and happiness is contagious
and I am so lucky to have you in my life.
