Oyster Shucking @ Hog Island Oyster Co in Tomales Bay
was quite possibly my favorite day ever this summer.
Rent a picnic table, bring whatever else you want to eat or grill on the bbq's, buy some oysters when you get there (they provide glove and knife), and shuck away.
It's kind of hard at first, especially since I was terrified of stabbing myself through the glove,
but really fun once you get the hang of it.
We sat looking at the pretty bay and hills, enjoying the beautiful sun, eating oysters, baguettes and cheese to our hearts content all while talking about our future hopes and how we'll still be doing this kind of stuff together 10 years from now when we hopefully have husbands and children.
