So Far...

I really do love it here.
Madrid is a busy, lively, big, beautiful city that I've already fallen in love with.
We've spent every evening outside on a restaurant terrace enjoying a glass of wine, the real Spanish way.
I had orientations all week for my school I'm teaching at and my masters program.
I'm exhausted from information/boring information overload but excited to start teaching next week.

And I made new friends AND found an apartment that I'll be moving into next weekend!
Things are all coming together.

My momma leaves me today :(
I'm really hoping homesickness doesn't set in after she leaves.

This weekend I'm focusing on practicing Spanish, hanging out with my new friends, hopefully meeting some Spanish friends and exploring even more.

feliz fin de semana!

ps. over at then i got to thinking, sharing more of my pics from malaga!

Beautiful pictures! One of these days I'm going to visit Spain. I'm always trying to speak my basic Spanish to the Italians so I figure I should try it with the Spaniards.

So glad I found your blog...I will live vicariously through you. I LOVE Spain! I studied in Salamanca for a Summer. I think it's so cool you're teaching at getting your masters there. If I didn't have a husband and kids I would be there in a second! I can't wait to read all about your journey!
