My momma and I took a weekend trip to Granada.
It absolutely lived up to all my expectations.
The Alhambra was a photographers dream!
It's going to take me a bit to go through alllll my pictures.
My Spanish tutor was in town visiting family so we got a locals tour of tapas bars too!
Free, delicious tapas for every drink you buy...
don't even get me started.
My mom is on her way back to California today :(
It was such a nice week getting to come home to her and have evenings out to dinner, shopping, walking around and our weekend trip.
7 weeks and I'll be home for Christmas!
Now back to real (well, as real as living in Spain can be) life.
Happy Monday!

Aw I loved my trip to Granada too! I remember we had the best kebab of our lives there at the place right by Granada 10. SO good. And that is where I was when Spain won the Eurocup in 2008...craziest experience ever!! Such great memories!
I am sure it was amazing having your mama there!! Your time is going to fly by, Christmas is going to be here before you know it!! xoxo
Looks beautiful! Great pictures! How cool to spend time with your mom in such a neat place. ( :

I had some friends study abroad there and they just loved it! What a pretty place! And so fun you got to experience it with your mom!
I can't wait to see photos! What an awesome thing to do with your mom.
SO GLAD you got a dose of family with your momma's visit!! I understand how lonely it can be to live far away, so I know you enjoyed it. Your pictures look fabulous!! Keep basking in the here and now :) xoxo
I told you on instagram, but I'm saying it again here.. my husband grew up in Granada and is always going on about all the places he's going to take me. I showed him these pictures this morning and he knew where you took them all! you're just fueling the wanderlust in me! but I don't mind... ;)
This place is gorgeous and great photographs. Its so nice your mum got to come over - its nice when you get guests to brighten up your evenings and enjoy your life with. It will soon be christmas. Im headed home to London for christmas so im also counting down the days and weeks. :)
HOORAY! I'm so happy that you and your momma had an awesome week together! And free tapas for every drink? Holy goodness...Granada was just added to the list! Have a great week!
LOVE Granada! Probably one of my all time favorite places in Europe! So happy you had a great weekend :)
i learned all about granada/alhambra in high school spanish class... i can't even imagine what visiting it would be like! :)
Wow! Beautiful photos!
Nicole, How does one do a scarf like this? <3
granada looks amazing! :)
Oh I swoon over these photos!
Please bring this free tapas with every drink practice back to the US! Why is American food like the only food that doesn't come with something free (to eat, that is. I'm not talking about the toys)
Can I just say... I adore your blog. Seriously, I just want to go to Spain right this minute. The Alhambra palace is on my top list of things to see in life. Hopefully in the future! But your time in Granda looks simply beautiful.
Love,

I cannot wait to hear everything about Granada - I'm feeling a bit nostalgic looking at your photos above. It is such a fantastic city!
So fab! I've never been to Granada, but I've always wanted to go. I've heard great stories of this free tapas!
I've been spending a lot of time at home and in London with my mum recently as I'm going through a break up and I swear it's making us closer, which is great. Might have to book a trip with her to Granada too! :)
xx
How special! Looks wonderful!

You lucky girl! I have a friend who lives in Spain and Granada is one of her very favorite places to be. It looks absolutely beautiful.
Oh tapas...one of my favorite things. Ever. And I have only had them in San Diego where I paid an arm and a leg for them! ;)
Free tapas?! Uh, what now?? I don't think I'd leave the bar!
So happy to see you smiling with your Mama! Enjoy your Autumn and those seven weeks will fly by right quick :)
