But because of winter snow storms, flights were cancelled and therefore our trip was cancelled.
My packed suitcase is very sad and doesn't understand why isn't being unpacked.
Oh I'm so sad.
I was so looking forward to a girls weekend, going to Belgium for the first time, seeing the beautiful Christmas markets.
But I guess that's all part of being flexible while living in Europe.
Because only here do they start canceling flights before snow or rain even start to fall.
Now, what to do with this long weekend ahead of me?!

Aww, sad! Come join me in Santander! It's rainy up here, but there are Christmas markets!
There's nothing worse than canceled plans so close to when they were supposed to begin. I say it's time to read a new book and drink coffee/tea during a long walk.
That sounds so boring haha, but something I think is wonderful on a long weekend!

Oh that is infuriating! We always find it so ridiculous as if we didn't that every time it snowed in Canada, we'd be closed for 8 months of the year.
Hey! you can you can be a volunteer in your area. That is what I'm doing in Asturias! You can learn so much about the people and their culture by being a volunteer. Doesn't always have to be about me me me or having a good time out with friends.
So annoying! I'm sure you would have gotten some amazing pictures and had a fabulous time. Belgium during the holidays must be picturesque.

I hate when plans don't work out, esp ones you are so excited for! I have been to Belgium and I LOVED IT :) You will get there someday soon I am sure!

Thats European winter reality I guess... I was supposed to meet up with my best friend in London two years ago one week before Christmas. First her flight from Frankfurt was cancelled, one hour later mine from Zurich! I was so pissed!!! But in the end people got stranded in London for days because it was complete chaos, so we were actually glad we did not fly.... anyway, enjoy your long weekend!! x

Oh no! I've been through that too. Had a flight scheduled for Ibiza with a friend, we get to the airport and it ends up being cancelled because of fog :( We were so devastated because she had to leave before we could find another date.
