Weekend in Pictures

Despite cancelled travel plans and being pretty bummed about it, I had a great weekend in Madrid.
I feel guilty not taking advantage of every long weekend I have here to travel and explore new places,
but sometimes it's nice to just enjoy where I live, relax and explore my temporary home.

Since it was a holiday weekend for Spain, the streets were jam packed with shoppers, families and tourists.
The Christmas markets are up as well as the lights! There are people selling boiled/cooked/ihavenoideawhattheyarebutidon'tlikethem nuts, yams and corn on the cob.
And on so many corners are people playing the most beautiful Christmas music.
I hung out with friends for Mimosa brunch, Mexican food (!) lunch, cafe con leche in the sun and even nights out where I lasted all the way till 3am!! Baby steps to the normal 6am Spaniard nights out.

I started Homeland.
Huge huge mistake.
I am going to be wishing the work day away so I can go home and watch more episodes.
Absolutely obsessed.

Crazy to think that a weekend without traveling for you is a weekend to explore Madrid! Glad you were able to enjoy it! Also, Homeland is THE best. So addicting.

Looking at all those food pictures make me hungry!

I can totally relate about starting new series and then it becomes an obsession until I'm caught up to the current season. It's happened to me with Lost, Breaking Bad, and Weeds!

Love this time of year...and you shared the most precious photos. :)
And yes, I will not even start watching Homeland until I'm done with this semester. ;) It's that good.

That roasted corn looks delicious! I don't think the French like corn, I haven't seen a single cob since I moved here.
So happy you salvaged your weekend and had a good one! :)
