A Fairy Tale Palace in Portugal

fairy tale, castle, disneyland, only in a movie, is this real?-
words we uttered numerous times while at the Pena National Palace in Sintra.
Lisbon was cool... but this Palace was the highlight of the trip.
I think the pictures speak for themselves, although they definitely don't do it justice.

tip:
+wear your walking shoes
even if you pay the 5euros to take the bus up the mountain (recommended),
it's still a hike up to the palace and from there to the Morrish Castle.
+ it's better to do Sintra on a non-rainy day.

Looks amazing! So glad you enjoyed your trip to Portugal. It's a lot like Spain and has many similarities in the language, no?

This was one of my most favorite places in Portugal! I remember taking a train trip from Lisbon and just being in shock when we arrived. I also remember running around taking photos pretending that we were royalty. Glad you got to go to such a special and unique place!
