If you combine the colors of Andalusia, the architecture and grandeur of Paris, the red roofs of Prague, Southern California weather, the old history worn buildings of the Europe you imagine and the bridge, hills and trams of San Francisco you will create Lisbon - in my opinion, at least.
Lisbon really did exceed my expectations.
I can't exactly pin point what it was that made me so happy there.
Being my the water was for sure one of the big reasons.
Maybe it was delicious food and getting to experience a new country.
Or maybe it was the resemblance to San Francisco, making me feel closer to home.
The nightlife in Bairro Alto was one of my favorite going out experiences in any city. Small streets and alleyways filled with people, music and bars.
Whatever it was, I liked it.
Portugal beaches have moved up on my travel list priorities.

Just so stunning. I went to Lisbon in the summer, so it was super hot but still beyond gorgeous. Even now looking at your photos this city looks marvelous. ;)

Your photos are so beautiful :) I'm going to be honest though, coming from SF, I think if I ever saw the Lisbon bridge in person I would be be freaked out! It is eerily similar to SF..but so so gorgeous!
My hubby wants to visit Portugal for the surf. I want to go for the food and the culture. I guess we should book a trip! Love that blue door shot and the one with you and the bridge in the background.

I felt the same way when i went to visit Lisbon back in 2006. I went to visit for 3 days when I was living in Madrid and felt so at peace there. We took a day trip to Sintra which was so amazing! did you go?
Portugal is beautiful, have been visiting quite often when I was younger for family holidays. The beaches along the Algarve coast are still one of my favorites! So pretty! And the food! Yum! You should definitely schedule another trip!! Beautiful pictures of Lisbon!
