Sintra is a short 40 min train ride from Lisbon and an absolute must see.
I knew the second we got off the train, we were going to love it there.
The town is dotted with royal castles, retreats, building and estates, which is specifically what we went to see, but am very happy we spent some time and dinner in the little historic center of town.
