Happiest of Birthdays to my Mommy!

When I was younger I was just like my dad.

Personality, likes, dislikes, ambitions, etc.

As I've gotten older I have become more and more like my mom it's scary.

I definitely got my travel bug gypsy heart from her.

(She moved us around the country three times because she wanted "adventure")

The more time I spend living abroad, 

the more I understand her need to travel, see and experience new places. 

We're still different, we still drive each other up a wall sometimes, we still try to see who can out stubborn the other and I still want to be in charge of everything like I did when I was two,

 but as I get older I appreciate her so so so so much.

Her incredible mothering, her selflessness to do and give whatever to her children, her stories of escaping from Czechoslovakia to California (which make my comfortable move to Spain look easier than a walk in the park) and the way she only sees the rainbow in every terribly rainy day. 

Happy happy birthday my beautiful mommy.

I miss you so much.

I'm sure the boys will bring you breakfast in bed. ha. not.
