wine, cheese, bread, wine, more wine

Did you know that Madrid has a lake?
More like a pond, but beggars can't be choosers.
It's the first Saturday of the month so you know what that means?

I couldn't believe how lucky we were with such a beautiful, sunny, warm spring day.
Especially after the recent snow and cold!
Sitting by the lake for hours with our farmer's market prizes was like a huge slice of heaven.

turns out one of the wine vendors is a grandma of one of my students.
officially hooked up for every farmer's market to come.

speaking of grandma, I went to sleep at 10:30pm every night this weekend.

you guys are living quite the life, aren't you? it looks so blissful!

i'm currently still up from pulling an all-nighter, so sleep at 10:30pm every night sounds nothing less than perfection to me right now.

Looks amazing. I think I went to bed at 10:30pm every night this weekend too. And this week is going to be a long week! Happy Monday!

I want some of that cheese! it looks amazinggggggggg.

just thinking about cheese makes me miss Europe so badly. I wish the market system were as popular here - I loved shopping the provençal farmers market during my stint in Antibes.

That is a lake, not a pond!! I love farmers markets, we really are spoiled for them here in the UK. I also go to bed at like 10:30- I need my eight hours a night dammit!! x

Haha, at least its a big (looking) pond! Beautiful photos. Cannot wait until the farmers markets open here, for now they are still buried in tons of snow ;)

So now I just have to make a weekend jaunt to Madrid this summer if the diet consists of wine, cheese, bread, wine and more wine.

What a beautiful lake! I love the outdoor culture in Europe. Americans can't drink wine at a farmer's market :-)

That's awesome! Love the cheese in Europe!

Why don't American farmer's markets have wine? This day looks like pure bliss.

you had me at the title... this looks like the perfect way to spend a Saturday. 10:30 and calling yourself a grandma? I am in bed by 9:30 on week nights. I need my sleep or else you don't want to be around me in the mornings haha.
